During the last Moraga School Board Meeting, Connor Johnson, Campo student, spoke during public comments about an instrumental tutoring program he and other Campo music students have created.
From Connor:
We have worked together to organize and lead this music tutoring program for students in the Lamorinda area. This group is completely student organized and run by the four of us, with our teacher Johnny Johnson acting as an adviser occasionally. We saw the burgeoning problem of less comprehensive music education being offered to middle and elementary school students this year, due to the fact that it is quite challenging to play together over Zoom. Our solution that we devised was to recruit our top juniors and seniors in the Campolindo Music Program to offer free 1 on 1 tutoring for anyone who wishes to sign up. All of our members are working for community service.
